How It All Started
The mainstream olive business tells you to chase high volume, harvest cheap, and sell in bulk to big distributors. I believe in doing the exact opposite: focusing on pure quality, working with nature, and connecting directly with the people who consume what you make.
When I took over my grandfather’s olive grove, it had been completely untouched and abandoned for 30 years. I didn’t want to run a industrial farm. I wanted to create something honest, clean, and deeply rooted in love for nature.
In five years, I turned that forgotten family land into Lefkada Micro Farm—a thriving, multi-awarded, high-phenolic EVOO estate recognized internationally at international EVOO competitions (New York, London) and a proud member of the Slow Food Farms Netwrok.
Instead of middleman distributors setting the rules for my produce’s quality and selling point, I built a direct relationship with households around the world who reserve our harvest months before we even pick an olive. And by opening our gates to guests for farm-to-table educational experiences, we turned international visitors into lifelong brand ambassadors.
Now, I share everything I’ve learned with a small group of passion-driven farm owners, inheritors, and land stewards each year.
If you talk to an agronomist, they only look at dirt and fertilizers. A chemist only looks at lab reports. A marketer only cares about a pretty label.
Rarely do these people talk to each other, and rarely do they understand the whole picture of living on and running an estate.
